I tried this website recently, then wrote about it. It’s really worth checking out for InvestorBloggers!
I have been investing for quite a few years, and of course, got burned in the recent Dot.Com Boom/Crash. I think TheBuyList.com TheBuyList.com, if it had been around, would have helped me see who was dumping stocks while I was on the wrong end of the transaction!
It’s a great way to find out which stocks are being acquired or disposed of, so you can avoid being ‘downgraded’ before you sell!
Actually, I noted another function. Once you see the stocks a particular fund owns, you might find some good choices that you can purchase from the other stocks they also own.
For example:
Fund Information For Symbol: CESPX | |
Fund Name: | CMG ENHANCED S&P 500 INDEX |
Fund Family: | CMG Funds |
Fund Information
SYMBOL | COMPANY NAME | QUANTITY | DATE |
---|---|---|---|
AMGN | Amgen, Inc. | -3200 | 12/04/2006 |
CTX | Centex Corporation | 7200 | 12/04/2006 |
GS | Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. | 100 | 11/08/2006 |
IBM | IBM | 400 | 12/04/2006 |
MHP | McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. | 2400 | 11/08/2006 |
NUE | Nucor Corp. | 5000 | 11/08/2006 |
WB | Wachovia Corporation | 9400 | 11/08/2006 |
I currently own DELL, but I might be interested in some of the others, too, such as RAI, MHP, and WB. There is no function however to search for Funds, yet, to see what they have. Perhaps an idea for the future?
