I’m offering two different plans right now. All of these plans offer a variety of support or mentoring to help with establishing your website.

Getting Started
Before you pay a penny, I will contact you to find out your needs, your skill levels and web hosting management needed. I will then offer you a proposal which we can discuss to see if it is appropriate or not. After that, you can think about it.

Two Plans for You!
Once payment is received, it will take about three to four days for everything to be completed. All plans payable on an annual basis ONLY.

Additional Features

I can help installing and making sure the PHP applications that you want to run are up and working. You can use this space to:

  1. host your blog with Wordpress or some other choices
  2. email and file storage (no need to run around with discs, CDs or USB keys anymore) with your own downloadable application that turns your online storage into a virtual diskdrive, just like c:/ and accessible everywhere.
  3. personal homepage via HTML
  4. photograph album with Coppermine or Zenphoto.
  5. your own online store with Zencart.
  6. your own discussion forums with PHPBB2 or SMF forums.
  7. your own online magazine/content with Joomla or another CMS system
  8. you can create an online classroom environment with Moodle.org
  9. your own Wiki!..

Each of these will come with its own database, management of which I will help with until you’re confident.

I’ve handled websites with clients for several years, so you can have a look at the client list (updated Feb. 1st, 2009).

Payment Methods

Once you reach a decision, payment can be made in several ways:

* Paypal (will include a 5% surcharge to cover Paypal’s increasingly extravagant charges),
* Bank or Post Office transfer (only in Taiwan),
* NT$ check drawn on local bank,
* US$ check drawn on a US Bank (will include a NT$200 surcharge for cashing),
* Cash in person (if you come to Taipei!)

Acceptable currencies are US$, Euros and New Taiwan Dollars (exch. US$1=NT$30.5 approx Feb 27th, 2014.)

Contact Me!

Contact me with Hosting in the subject. I will contact you within 24 hours. Before you consider purchasing any webhosting anywhere, you should note: Any activity/website hosted must agree to the terms and conditions of my own upline hosting company. Failure to abide by these terms may result in immediate termination of the agreement/contract without refund. I will supply a complete TOS to those who are interested.

New Features on InvestorBlogger: Have you noticed?

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been extending and adding stuff to the sidebars to pimp out my blog a little. Here’s a list of additions and trials.

  • 1. I’ve created several YouTube Channels, one of which is located in the right sidebar right now. It has about 30 something videos in the play list, all of which is topical.
  • 2. I just added Miniposts to create a set of short posts that can go in the sidebar. I try to keep the posts short like twitter posts. It works quite well.
  • 3. I’ve put in several market related features including a ticker at the top of each page, and a markets page for current information courtesy of these widgets respective creators.
  • 4. There’s now a mini-wall for interactive posts from readers. I’m hoping it doesn’t get too spammy and that readers will leave interesting comments about my posts! HTML is currently disabled.
  • 5. You will also see some ‘free’ content from the FreeDictionary.com including news, legal and financial dictionaries. Hopefully, you’ll find it informative.
  • 6. I’m also experimenting with a small affiliate program. It’s open to only 10 people who feel that they can help sell my advertising. So if you’re interested, drop me a line when you apply.

If you notice the blog slowing down, do let me know. I always appreciate constructive feedback.

Broken Promises: A Blogger Confesses…

Yes, it’s true. I have let my readers down on a number of occasions over the past few years. You see, I was thinking about all the things I started on this blog, but never quite finished, including several large projects on this blog… I never seemed to finish them at all.

  • 1. Introduction to Blogging.
  • 2. Quick introduction to Wordpress (only got to lesson 7).
  • 3. Posting reviews for all the companies in the Dow Jones Industrial Averages.
  • 4. A daily posting schedule.
  • 5. Monthly Income Reports.
  • 6. More disclosure on personal finances.
  • 7. New blogs, subsequently closed and remerged.
  • 8. Can you spot any more?…

When you blog, there are so many things that can catch your eye if you are as unfocused as I was that it’s easy to be sidetracked. And I am. Easily sidetracked. Really.

I guess I will have to work harder and smarter on posting to my blog. I could blame my tools, the awkwardness of scheduling posts and whatnot, but truthfully, it’s all my fault. All mine.

So, if you like reading InvestorBlogger, I do hope you’ll overlook the incomplete nature of posting in this medium… Now if I could find a tool to help me upload, schedule and routinely manage posts by the bunch rather than one by one! Perhaps I could improve on that, but don’t hold your breath!

How do you manage your posting schedule? Do you schedule posts months in advance? Or do you fly be the seat of your pants?
